    Hi,

It would be nice if GRally could simulate all different gearbox that are in real life. At this moment only manual H-Pattern works fine. Sequential in the game won't change if you don't press the clutch, which is not accurate.

Here is list the different gearbox we can find [from boxthislap.org]:

    - Sequential gearshift fully auto: Don’t have to use the clutch. Only shift and go. No need to blip to downshift or upshift.

    - Dog-box sequential gearshift with throttle cut: Sequential with shift lever.
Upshifting: There is no need to put the clutch in if we stay at proper RPM. Just upshift (don’t release until shift is engage).
Also there is no need to lift the throttle to engage thanks to throttle cut.
Downshift: There is no need to put the clutch in either (proper RPM). Downshift, blip and release the paddle.

    - Dog-box sequential gearshift without throttle cut: Upshifting: There is no need to put the clutch in if we stay at proper RPM. Lift a moment and upshift (don’t release until shift is engage).
Downshift: There is no need to put the clutch in either (proper RPM). Downshift, blip and release the paddle.

    - Dog-box h-pattern: Upshifting: There is no need to put the clutch in if we stay at proper RPM. Lift a moment and upshift (don’t release until shift is engage).
Downshift: There is no need to put the clutch in either (proper RPM). Downshift and blip in Neutral.

-Manual transmission, H-pattern (already working fine).
Upshifting: Mandatory clutch use. Lift the throttle, put the clutch in and engage, stepping on the gas pedal at the same time you progressively releasing throttle.
Downshift: Mandatory clutch use. Lift the throttle, put the clutch in and engage, mostly while we brake at the same time. You can blip in neutral with heel and toe technique if you have enough practice. Release the clutch when downshifting is done.

For example sequential and paddle shift WRC are fully automatic, they don't blip or lift to change gear and so Kit Cars 2.0 and R5 cars (I'm not 100% sure about R5 cars, some drivers seems to do the blip, and some others don't, so it may be related to keep stability while braking more than the gear change itself, I suppose). Most of the Gr.N are manual trasmission but some R4 cars are Dog-Box H Pattern and so they are the first WRC (in 1997), etc.

    Thank you.

    wow!
thank you Javier for your explanation..
yes, at the moment the sequential is only 'a way' to change the gears

great suggestion for the next releases!!
